Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit hobohacks.com and why. I try to process only what is strictly necessary.

What data is processed

Website analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (via Google Site Kit) so I can see which articles are useful and improve them. It processes visit data (pages viewed, traffic source, approximate location, device and browser type, link clicks) using cookies. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie banner (CookieYes) and can change at any time. Legal basis: consent.

Affiliate links

Some product links (e.g. AliExpress) are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner may set a cookie to recognise that a purchase came from this site. The partner is responsible for your personal data on its side under its own policy. On this site, an affiliate click is counted anonymously – only the page, the product and the date are stored, with no cookies, no IP address and nothing that identifies you.

Embedded content

Articles contain YouTube videos and maps (Mapy.com, OpenStreetMap / OpenTopoMap). When they load, your IP address and browser details are sent to these services, which follow their own privacy policies.

Email

If you email me at info@hobohacks.cz, I use your email address and message only to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering your enquiry.

Internal tool HH Výkon

To evaluate the performance of the website and YouTube channels, I use my own internal application “HH Výkon”, which only reads aggregated statistics from the operator’s own accounts through Google interfaces (Google Analytics, Search Console, YouTube Analytics). Visitors do not sign in to it and it does not process data of other Google users. The data stays on the operator’s device and is not shared with anyone.

Processors and transfers outside the EU

Data may be processed by these processors: Google (Google Analytics, YouTube), CookieYes (cookie consent management) and the web hosting provider. Google may transfer data to the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long data is kept

Analytics data only for the period set in Google Analytics; emails for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time in the cookie banner. If you believe your data is not handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz) or the data protection authority in your country.

Effective from 7 November 2026.
