🎒 AONIJIE FH2530 Fastpack Review: Best Lightweight Hiking Backpack for Fastpacking 🏞️
Hello, I’m reviewing the AONIJIE FH2530 fastpack (previously C9111) – one of the best lightweight backpacks and trail running backpacks for fastpacking, trail running, hiking and other outdoor activities or as an occasional daily carry.
⚖️ Technical Specifications of trail running backpack
The weight of the backpack is 610 grams, and the price ranges from 93 to 108 dollars.
Its volume is 20 to 30 liters, but I’d say the real capacity is even above 30 liters thanks to the outer stretch pockets.
It comes in four colors: black, dark blue, green, and grey.
📂 Materials & Build
First, I’ll mention the material quality. Since it’s made from 210D Dyneema, we can compare it to a branded backpack, like the Black Diamond Cirque 22, which has a slightly denser weave—so it should be more durable.
You can see it here in the density of the grid pattern. The material quality surprised me in a good way.
It features YKK zippers and Duraflex buckles.
Here’s the tag from the backpack, confirming the certifications: YKK zippers and DURAFLEX buckles.
🧩 Lightweight Backpack Organization & Pockets
Now let’s look at the organization and pockets of this lightweight backpack.
There’s a hip belt, which attaches here through these loops, but I removed it since I don’t use it.
It’s a roll-top backpack, with a zipper that runs almost the full length.
The advantage of the roll-top is that it can be clipped and tightened down like this.
There are two very wide side pockets, one front pocket (with a bungee cord I added), and another front mesh pocket.
There's an option to attach trekking poles, an ice axe, and other accessories here. There’s also a water bladder port.
🏃 Shoulder Straps & Front Storage
Moving on to the shoulder straps with big pockets, which are one of the biggest strengths of this pack—very spacious.
For example, a 600 ml running water bottle fits without issue.
There are also separated pockets for smaller items, a zippered phone pocket, a small pocket for electrolytes.
The pack includes a whistle and a pocket with a port for a power bank or walkie-talkie, plus more attachments for running poles.
Another benefit is the ability to adjust the back system. You can move and reposition it through these loops.
On the sides, there’s a compression strap to tighten the trail running backpack.
On the chest, there are two elastic chest straps, which in my opinion are too short—I would definitely recommend making them a bit longer.
📁 Interior
Now let’s take a look inside the fastpack. The internal layout is really simple—just a large compartment that can hold a hydration bladder, or even a MacBook Air—it just fits. The laptop reaches all the way to the bottom. There’s some light padding, so I wouldn’t be too worried about damage—though I still wouldn’t throw it to the ground.
There’s also a loop to hang the water bladder. You can remove the back panel insert, which saves another 90 grams.
⛰️ Fastpack Field Testing
I used the backpack on a three-day trek across the big Fatra mountains, and also part of the Czechoslovak border route.
I was very impressed with its functionality and how versatile it is.
Also, its variable capacity is a big plus—on multi-day trips, you start with a lot of food, and as you eat it, the pack compresses nicely.
Comfort is also very high thanks to the padding—both in the back panel and the shoulder straps.
According to the manufacturer’s website, the backpack features a special curved back panel that improves comfort, along with a shock-absorbing system.
🏁 Final Impressions - best lightweight backpack?
I plan to keep using this fastpack Aonijie FH2530 as my primary lightweight hiking backpack, and I’m especially curious how it will perform in winter conditions for ski mountaineering.
Right now, I’m giving the pack its first real test.
My initial impressions? This strap could be a bit longer—even though I have a relatively short torso, it’s already at its limit.
Otherwise, the fit is fantastic.
I haven’t tested it properly for trail running yet, but it seems like it will perform well—we’ll see.
The total weight I am carrying is 13.5 kg, including food, water, etc.
To wrap up, I have to say I’m really impressed by the build quality and functionality of this backpack. The only downside for now is the short chest straps.
🎁 Bonus: AliExpress Gear Tips
For those of you who made it to the end, here are some bonus tips—extra gear from AliExpress:
- This is a 600 ml running water bottle from the same brand, AONIJIE, and I think it’s perfect to pair with this backpack.
- Also called soft flask, it has a long drinking tube, making it ideal for longer hikes, and you can even use it as a mini bidet.
- Combined with a larger collapsible bottle, it’s a great hydration setup.
- A titanium water bottle — costs less than 18 dollars, and the build quality is very good.
- This titanium trowel, which you can get for about 10 dollars, also from AliExpress — good quality, I’ve used it a few times and I’m happy with it.
